Details

Rebecca Sharpe is a South Australian photographer. In 2016 Sharpe completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts specialising in Photography before going on to complete a Master of Teaching degree to pass her passion and knowledge on to secondary students.

Rebecca Sharpe photographs a range of subjects from babies, families and events to landscapes and seascapes. Her true passion lies within seascape photography, where Sharpe looks at the relationship between person and environment. She explores a personal connection with water and movement to create artworks in the hope that the viewer finds something within her work they can connect with. Her seascape images ask the viewer to become completely immersed within her work, wishing them to feel a sense of meditation and serenity looking at the work.

Sharpe also loves to photograph landscapes of the places she visits, whether that be an unfamiliar exotic location or her family farm. She aims to showcase the beauty of these places, using photography to capture memories and moments in time as only photography can do.
